Welcome back to another Tuesdays With Lazerbeak! It’s a bit of a hectic week gearing up for some BIG TYME Doomtree announcements over the next seven days, so this is gonna be short and sweet. First off, I just want to say what an absolute joy it was to be a part of the inaugural Eaux Claires festival last weekend in beautiful Eau Claire, Wisconsin. That was an insanely special couple of day to be involved with. Enormous shouts to Justin Vernon and Aaron Dressner for the vision and follow through, and all of the staff and city for making us feel so welcome. We kicked things off on Friday in some punishing sunlight and sweltering heat. Thanks to everyone there for rocking with us and getting amped up despite the conditions. That was theeee best. Here’s a great shot that our FRIENDTOGRAPHER Zoe Prinds-Flash got towards the end of the set to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. So good to be reconnected with my guys after that European run.
Eaux Claires was one hell of a way to kick off this big festival run we’ve got coming up. We’re gonna be playing all over North America in the coming months, starting things off with a bang at Riot Fest in Denver in late August (tix HERE).
Then in September we’ll hit the Chicago and Toronto legs of Riot Fest, as well as Rifflandia Fest in Victoria, BC. Check out the flyers below for all the sweet lineups and dates, and click HERE for more ticket information.
We’ll close out September with a big set at Boston Calling Festival, put on by the same great production company that ran Eaux Claires. I have to admit, I am beyond excited to be playing with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. Grab your tickets HERE.
Finally, we’ll close out the fall season with a performance at Austin’s renowned Fun Fun Fun Fest in early November. Grab your tickets HERE. This one is gonna be insane.
Now for some Doomtree-related Bonus Jams. Our good friend Scroobius Pip was kind enough to have P.O.S and Dessa on his wildly-popular Distraction Pieces podcast while the dudes were all over in the UK last month. Click the players below to check out hour-long interviews with each of the guys, or go HERE for all episodes of Distraction Pieces.
As the final Bonus Jam for the day, our good friend Crescent Moon just released a collaboration EP with the one and only Andrew Broder this past week. It is an absolute must listen. Click HERE to pick up the whole thing on Bandcamp for only $3.99, and support great Minnesota music. I can 100% vouch that it totally rules. If you’re in the Twin Cities, make sure to check them out this Wednesday (7/22) at 7th St. Entry with all around best guy Open Mike Eagle (tix HERE).

I’ll leave you with a couple of Baby Bonus Jams before calling it a day. Here’s Penny rocking a pretty amazing pink tutu and cat makeup combo. This kid is truly on one right now.
And here’s Laid Back Lou keeping things extra laid-back after a long hard day on the pontoon boat. Pretty sure we’ve all been there.
OK! That does it. I’m not kidding when I say this next week will be action-packed with insane Doomtree news. Definitely keep your eyes out for some big announcements coming sooner than later. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next Tuesday for sure!
