I am excited to announce that we are having a CD release party for it on July 24th. I am very excited and think it is going to be a kickass evening. A few crew friends and I will be performing some of the new tracks from the album, as well as melting faces with blazing rap set right after. We will also be doing a little something we like to call Doomtree Karaoke, this will be a first for us, but I will be on the turntables so you can come up grab a mic, and do your best version of your favorite Doomtree song. Also my man Budo is coming into town to open the show. So looking forward to this.

Also I have leaked a new track from the album called “The Bully Plank”, I hope you like it.

And on August 29th, we give you CECIL OTTER. He will appear at the Triple Rock to unveil Rebel Yellow, his long awaited full-length album. (If you are out of state, or infirm, you can buy the album on August 26th at select independent retailers or from us.)

There are no more presale tickets available, the very reasonable price at the door is $9. All ages show at 6 p.m., 21+ at 9.

Friday’s CD release show is getting written up left and right. Somewhere in the middle stands the City Pages.

Speaking of release, when this week is all said and done we’re going to need to kick back and cool out for a bit. And what better way to do that than to don the fancy new pants we’ve been given by the RIAA and swill appletinis in the swankiest bar around? Yeah, that sounds about perfect. So, looks like we’ll be spending Saturday evening from 10 o’clock on at the Chambers Hotel’s 5th floor bar. Never been? Holy mother is that the spot. Come hang out in your own fancy pants. We’ll all feel like growed-ups. 10pm Saturday. 9th & Hennepin, downtown Minneapolis.

On a side note, Lazerbeak recently did an interview with Reveille Magazine about a subject near and dear to his heart: Jigga. That might seem weird to you, but it definitely doesn’t to us. Beak loves Jay more than Beyonce does (which is a terrible comparison, as she is obviously incapable of actually loving anyone). Oh, and Reveille is also streaming the new Doomtree track “Flex” at their site. Stream on, streamers.
