Welcome to another edition of Tuesdays With Lazerbeak! I hope you all had a great long weekend. It is officially a mere matter of days before DOOMTREE FOREST is upon us. Cannot wait to show off all the surprises we have in store for this intimate and insanely unique experience at Familia HQ’s indoor skate park in northeast Minneapolis. Expect sets from Shredders, Four Fists, Sims x Air Credits x ICETEP, Dessa, Cecil Otter, Mike Mictlan, Longshot and Lazerbeak, Cloquet, Sick Trim, and the only full-crew Doomtree performance of the year. Initial tickets have sold out for the Forest, but you can get your name on the waiting list right HERE in case any more become available this week. Follow @DOOMTREE on social media as well for multiple chances to win tickets in the coming days. See you Friday!

If that wasn’t enough rap show excitement for one weekend, our good friend Prof is throwing his fifth-annual Prof Outdoors extravaganza the next day, Saturday the 8th, at the Cabooze Outdoor Plaza. Shredders performed our first live set ever last year at Prof Outdoors 4 and I can safely say that this is one of the funnest outdoor events in the state of MN year in and year out. Plus the Based God himself, Lil B, will be gracing the stage. Make sure to grab your tickets right HERE and celebrate an amazing double-header rap weekend in the Twin Cities.

Last week was extra crazy jam-packed with awesome Dessa news. We’re now only TWO WEEKS away from the the release of her debut hardcover memoir My Own Devices, and things are ramping up like wild. Here’s a new book trailer courtesy of publisher Dutton Books, just to get you even more excited.

September 18th. #MyOwnDevices @penguin.creative @duttonbooks

And here’s an amazing review from extremely talented author Nora McInery to stoke the flames.

We’re beginning to get all of the My Own Devices pre-order merch in ahead of the release, and it is looking TIGHT. Here’s a little homemade video I put together at the office of the multi tool and lenticular bookmark that you get with the Deluxe Edition (all Standard Editions also come with the bookmark). Check it out.

And here’s the sweet My Own Devices pre-order t-shirt that comes with the Deluxe Edition as well, created by Chime graphic designer Andy Lund (who also made the sweet artwork for the Doomtree Forest). Make sure to grab your Deluxe Pre-Order right HERE.  All pre-orders will ship out on 9/15 via USPS first class mail.

Speaking of Dessa writing (SEGUE!), she just had an article published in the THE NEW YORK TIMES about her recent trip to London. Check out the physical proof below and read the whole article online right HERE.

And lastly, a wonderful partnership between Dessa and Minnesota-based Rockfilter Distillery was just announced. Dessa’s Time and Distance Organic Bourbon Whiskey will be rolling out in limited quantities started September 18th. Learn more about it right HERE and see if your state is able to handle shipments.

And speaking of upcoming Doomtree releases (SEGUE II), we’re now only about five weeks out from the debut album from Four Fists, the collaborative project from P.O.S and Astronautalis. The dudes recently met up with The Current at the Great Minnesota Get-Together (aka the Minnesota State Fair) to ride around on the gondolas and do a super intimate performance of new single “Dork Court.” Watch the hilarity ensue below.

And if you wanna hear the banging recorded version of the track, you can check out the 360 VR video for “Dork Court” below as well.

The limited-edition Four Fists Collector’s Pre-Order tier is getting closer and closer to selling out. There are now less than 100 packages left, so make sure to grab yours HERE before they’re all gone. Check out all the insanely rad stuff that comes with it below, including a personalized handwritten postcard from Stef and Andy, and a special screenprinted poster signed and numbered, limited to only 200 copies ever.

And don’t forget about the upcoming Four Fists #6666 World Tour that will be heading through the US and Europe in the coming months. Tickets are now available for all shows. Check out the cities and dates below and grab your tickets HERE.

And speaking of awesome rap tours (SEGUE III!), Sims and Air Credits will be bringing their smoking hot new Artería Verité album to cities across America for the first time ever this month. It all kicks off in Denver on the 12th, ending in Chicago on October 11th. See all currently announced dates below and get those tickets right HERE.

And finally, in case you missed it last week, we recently announced the debut of CLOQUET, a brand new collaborative project between our very own Paper Tiger and NYC vocalist James Gundersen. The dudes dropped their first single last Tuesday and have been hard at work on a bunch of material all summer. Check out “Hollows” below and get amped for lots more to come from these guys. SO GOOD.

Alright, that does it for this post. No time for Bonus Jams this week as I’m headed out to Milwaukee today to see THE GREATEST AMERICAN ROCK BAND OF THIS CENTURY (The Killers, duh). Really excited to see everyone this Friday at Doomtree Forest. Have a great week!
