Barely time for vowels–writing from within a vortex of light, sound, and cortisol. Here’s the gist:
The new 7″ Tough Call, Camelot is out today. Many thanks to The Current for premiering the A-side “Tough Call” this morning. That track features a guitar line from Sakhe Maputo that I recorded into my iPhone in Cape Town, South Africa. It also benefits from the handiwork of bass master Ian Allison. (If you know a bass nerd, they almost certainly know Ian.) You can snag a signed copy HERE.

*Appreciative nod to Becky for the use of her dining room table as a signing studio*

Word of mouth is, as ever, the most valuable word. If you dig the new songs, please share widely on your socials, text your friends, and rap along in the shower at maximum volume. (Also, “Camelot” makes good listening while standing in line to vote.) Stream the songs from any of your fav platforms HERE.
I’ll be touring in select markets in support of the project, and we’ve jussst added a Minneapolis show at Aster House (tickets on sale this Friday). There will be dinner service during the show, so if you’re looking for a fancy date night, this might be it. It’s an intimate room and likely to sell through quickly, so act swiftly. Grab tickets to any of the tour dates HERE.
And, of course, this weekend is the BIG ONE. The gang and I are getting ready for the concerts with the Minnesota Orchestra, running through a bunch of new charts, blocking on-stage maneuvers, pressing up new merch, and making a master list to keep track of all the other lists. Grab your tickets HERE.
Okay, gotta get to rehearsal. Flutter.
Dessa.
