OH. YEAH. BABY!!! Welcome back to an extra-special edition of Tuesdays With Lazerbeak. It brings me outrageous happiness to unleash a brand new Shredders single on you just in time for cookout season. This song is called “Ayeyayaya” and that’s the sweet single cover below courtesy of our main design man Vance Wellenstein.

P.O.S, Sims, Paper Tiger, and myself have been hard at work on a Dangerous Jumps follow-up and there’s lots more Shredders to come this year. For the time being though you can bump “Ayeyayaya” as loud as humanly possible, share it with each and every person you hold dear, and stream or buy it from any of your favorite digital platforms right HERE. ENJOY!!!

Dessa recently popped into Austin’s legendary KUTX studios for a live session with her killer band. Check out all four songs from that session below.

This weekend marks the first all-crew Doomtree performance since last September at the Doomtree Forest. Cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to reunite with the full squad and headline the second-ever Common Sound Music Festival in St. Louis Park this Sunday, June 30th. Check out the incredibly stacked local lineup below and make sure to grab your tickets right HERE. Fun for the whole family starting at 2:00pm. We’ll be on stage at 7:45pm. STOKED!

That does it for the Doomtree-related news this week, so I’ll leave you with a handful of Bonus Jams that I’ve been blasting as of late. Up first is this new double-single from Drake, released the day after his Raptors won their first-ever NBA Finals. Love everything about this.

Drake – “Money In The Grave” ft. Rick Ross

Kamaiyah dropped a crazy vizual for her new summer smash with Quavo and Tyga. Oakland represent!

Really hoping more people discover Lucky Daye now that he crushed the BET Awards. His new Painted album is currently in the lead for my Album of the Year pick. Flawless R&B front to back. Check out the new music video for “Real Games” below. Can’t recommend this more.

I’m waaaaaaaaaaaay into this new Mark Ronson album. The singles from Lykke Li, Camila Cabello, and YEBBA had all been fire, but I wasn’t expecting the entire album to so thoroughly rule. In a way it’s a really nice companion piece to Calvin Harris’ excellent Funk Wav Bounces album. Both do a wonderful job of utilizing a ton of guest vocalists to still pull off a super cohesive and consistent project. My fav song right now is from King Princess. Check out “Pieces of Us” below.

So saddened to hear about the death of CASSIUS member and French House pioneer Phillipe Zdar. This man created some absolutely perfect albums and his influence will be felt for a long time to come. He produced Phoenix’s classic Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix album which was the first time I’d ever heard live instruments and electronic instruments so beautifully intertwined that they created a whole new level of sound. Check out “Don’t Let Me Be” from CASSIUS’ brand new album below.

Loving this new “LesAplx” single from Floating Points. One of the best songs I’ve ever heard from Sam Shepherd.

Floating Points – “LesAlpx”

Spoon just popped up out of nowhere with this new “No Bullets Spent” single and it’s phenomenal per usual. The streak this band has been on since the mid-90s is absolutely unrivaled. I’m a lifelong fan.

Incredibly pumped about the news that The Hold Steady are coming back with a new album after slowly teasing out songs over the last few years. Check out lead single “Denver Haircut” below.

Here’s a sweet new vizual from our friends Koo Koo Kanga Roo, who just so happen to be playing at Common Sound with us this Sunday (and are also the guest DJs tonight for Surly’s Summer of Sound series). Loving this “Pirate Prep” song!

And here’s the latest video from Minneapolis OG Manny Phesto, directed by our good friend Mercies May. “Sunset Cliffs” is off of Manny’s brand new Over South album which you can grab right HERE. Shouts to producer TZ1 for the super smooth beats throughout.

And of course you know I have to end things with this new Shredders joint in case you missed it up top. AYEYAYAYA!

Shredders – “Ayeyayaya”

BOOM! That’s it for this week’s Bonus Jams. Make sure to add the Bonus Jams playlist to your Spotify account right HERE so you can check out all the latest heaters every Tuesday morning.

I hope you all have an absolutely marvelous week. Can’t wait to see a ton of you out at Common Sound on Sunday. Spread the word about Shredders and I’ll for sure see you back here next Tuesday for another round of TWL.
